Adventurous Journey

Planning, preparing, and undertaking an outdoor journey with a group of peers, and gain knowledge of basic outdoor skills.

Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award Bronze (14+)

Volunteering Physical Skills Expedition
3 mo. 3 mo. 3 mo. Plan, train for and complete a 2 day, 1 night expedition

Participants must also undertake a further three months in the Volunteering, Physical or Skills section.

*Those who aren’t 14 yet but are in the school year in which their peer group turn 14 may be able to start a Bronze DofE programme.

Silver Duke of Edinburgh AwardSilver (15+)

Volunteering Physical Skills Expedition
6 mo. One for 6 months / one for 3 months Plan, train for and complete a 3 day, 2 night expedition

If participants haven’t achieved their Bronze Award they must undertake a further 6 months in Volunteering or the longer of their Physical or Skills section.

*Those who aren’t 15 yet, but are in the school year in which their peer group turn 15 may be able to start a Silver DofE programme.

Gold Duke of Edinburgh AwardGold (16+)

Volunteering Physical Skills Expedition Residential
12 mo. One for 12 months / one for 6 months Plan, train for and complete a 4 day, 3 night expedition Undertake a shared activity in a residential setting away from home for 5 days and 4 nights

If participants have not achieved their Silver Award they must undertake a further 6 months in Volunteering or the longer of their Physical or Skills section.

*Those who aren’t 15 yet, but are in the school year in which their peer group turn 15 may be able to start a Silver DofE programme.

Get Your DoE Award

#1) Register

We’ll register you at the Queen’s Glen Award Centre, and guide you step-by-step throughout your program.

#2) Plan Your Award

We will help you customize your activities, setup goals for each section, and ensure they are specific to your particular interests.

#3) Record Your Activities

Complete your activities for the set duration of time and record your progress with our award leader’s assistance and regular follow-ups.

#4) Assessors Sign-Off

Our DoE award team will work with you to submit your Adventurous Journey report and comment on your progress.

#5) Award Approval

We’ll submit your award for approval while you consider taking on the next level and further challenging yourself.

#6) Celebrate!
