I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto and my Bachelor of Education at Tyndale University. My focus during my studies was English literature. I have always enjoyed working with kids, and I aim to help all work towards their potential both as students and individuals. I believe in providing a safe and comfortable environment for students, no matter the number or the format in which the lesson is conducted.

I have studied many areas of English literature, such as Canadian fiction, colonial/post-colonial studies and children’s literature. Language is an extremely powerful thing, and the ability to translate thoughts and feelings into the appropriate written and spoken words is a difficult but important task for students to accomplish.

It is truly remarkable to observe students engaging with one another and presenting their own unique ideas and thoughts about various topics. I encourage all of my students to express themselves as clearly and honestly as possible, and explain the importance of sharing different perspectives, as well as being open to new ones. My goal is to ensure students feel supported and confident to use their knowledge and skills to accomplish future tasks independently.
