I have been teaching and loving math for over 20 years. I started out my profession as a math teacher in an Academy for several years upon graduating from university with a B.S. in mathematics. I then pursued a Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science. After a brief stint in the actuarial field, I realized what I loved the most in all of my experiences was teaching math and continued my career as a math teacher since then.

I set high expectations for students, and love to give them new and exciting challenges. I facilitate learning that allows students to think outside the box, apply their knowledge, learn with both their head and their hands, and accept failure as a necessary step in the learning process.

Learning math itself is a challenging but rewarding experience. It is also a subject which requires a thorough understanding of basic concepts. For students who are new to Canada, it may be a daunting task to study English and Math at the same time. I believe I can help these students have a kick-start with their studies in Queen’s Glen College and help them lay a solid foundation for advanced studies in university.
